What is an Adjustment, and will it hurt?

An Adjustment is a technique Dr Eric and Dr David will use to restore the proper movement, placement and function of a joint, ligament, muscle, bone or tendon. They will use their hands predominantly to achieve the adjustment. Usually an adjustment to a joint of the body, for example one of the spine or pelvis, involves a controlled short, fast, shallow thrust and an audible 'click' may be heard. This is a highly effective and specific way to restore the natural functioning of the structure of the body and often will have positive effects reaching further than just the persons presenting complaint. When the patient relaxes, an adjustment will not be painful but usually will feel good!

Are there alternatives to an Adjustment?

Yes. Dr Eric and Dr David can use gentle techniques using light hand contact and breathing or the use of a gentle instrument can be applied.

How long will my appointment take?

Initial consults are 30 minutes and follow-up visits are around 10-15minutes. Obviously the length of the consult depends on how much needs to be discussed and how much treatment is required. A long consult may be be booked if more time is needed.

Is it expensive?

No. Premium Health Therapies strives to provide the best quality care currently available and aims to make it as affordable as possible. Below are our fees.

Initial Consult: $100
Follow-up/Regular Consult: $60
Concession: $50

Most Health Funds currently on the market offer decent rebates on Chiropractic Services which brings the fee down considerably.

What sort of conditions do you treat?
